Download the Outlook app so that you can check and receive email on your phone
Log in with user name and password that was sent to your personal email address
Check your email on a regular basis because it will be the main way that you communicate with dealerships
Larry will send communications to your new email account
Google Drive
Google Drive is where you will keep notes each time you attempt to contact a dealership. If you already have a Gmail account, send Larry and email with your Gmail Address. He will share with you a “Google Doc” with the spreadsheet that you will use to add notes.
Send Larry your new Gmail Address so that he can share the Google Doc with you.
Note: You will NOT use your Gmail to communicate with dealerships. This is only for the shared spreadsheet.
Make sure to log good notes for each dealer that you contact. This is VERY important because if you have good notes and are close to closing a deal, Larry will personally call your contact at the dealership to help you.

Phone Script
Use the script to get the Sales Manager’s email so that you can email them a link to your page that has the enrolment link to the free training.
Hi, my name is (say your name)!
“I am one of Larry Pickett’s Executive Assistants and he asked for me to notify one of the Sales Managers at your dealership because your store has been chosen to receive free sales training.
I’m sure you saw in Automotive News Magazine and Toyota Today Magazine that Larry trained the team that Toyota ranked as one of their top 12 Toyota stores in the country. And they won it 2 separate times!
Now he has been endorsed by a Toyota National Dealer Councilman. Every Toyota store around the country is getting the FREE TRAINING.
Everything is online, so I just need your email address to send you the link to sign everyone at your dealership up.”
Just so you know, since this is not available to everyone, the link to the free training is hidden on the page. To access it all you have to do is click on my picture.
What’s your email address? I’ll send you the link right now to make sure that you get it.
Frequently asked questions:
Question: How many dealerships are signed up/enrolled?
Answer: Since Dealer Training Source has not gone public, the leadership team does not share a list of clients with the public. Just know that we serve dealerships throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and New Zealand.
Question: Is this training just for Toyota dealerships?
Answer: No. The training was designed for all makes.
Question: Do I need this training program if our dealership already has an in-house trainer?
Answer: Absolutely! Dealer Training Source is not here to replace your trainer. It is designed to help your trainer. In fact, each video module has a PDF associated with it that is used for the salesperson and the trainer to work together!
Plus, Larry Pickett’s training will give your dealership a huge upgrade! With all due respect, is your trainer known as one of the most respected people in the auto industry like Larry is? I have another question, does your trainer cost you more than $995.00?
Tips:
Calling a dealership one hour before they close is a great time to reach a Sales Manager who is sitting around not doing much. You will have a greater chance to reach them and hold their attention.
If a dealership is open on Sunday from 12p-6p, Calling shortly after they open on Sunday is a great time to reach a Sales Manager.
Target the dealerships who are actively hiring. You can check Indeed, Ziprecruiter, Glassdoor, etc.
How to see if a dealer has clicked on your picture and used your link
This video will show you how to tell if someone has used your enrollment link (clicked on your picture to create a profile and start training).
Feel free to test this out for yourself by clicking on your own picture and creating a “test” user so that you can see how the reporting works.
